Jarratt Austin is a Managing Director for Percheron, LLC, with 15 years of industry related experience. Jarratt joined Percheron in September 2016 as the Regional Manager of the South Central Region, and was promoted in 2017 to serve as Director, South Central - Field Services. As Director, Jarratt managed and oversaw all facets of multiple large-scale pipeline, electric transmission, wind, solar, municipality and public transportation projects for all clients in his respective region.
Jarratt began his career as a Petroleum Landman in the Appalachian Basin, later transitioning to the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas, where he was responsible for negotiating the acquisition of oil & gas leases, preparing drill site runsheets, creating mineral ownership reports, providing leasehold checks, negotiating routes for gathering systems, as well as due diligence and title curative. As a Project Manager and Senior In-House Landman, Jarratt oversaw operations of producing assets in several key prospects, supervised multiple teams in the acquisition of Oil & Gas lease related rights to ensure legal and contractual obligations were satisfied, along with negotiating PSA’s, JOA’s and other pertinent operating agreements.
Jarratt received a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in 2005. He is an active member of the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), the San Antonio Pipeliners Association (SAPA), the International Right of Way Association (IRWA), and is currently serving as the IRWA Chapter 39 Membership Chair.
