JOB DESCRIPTION

Percheron is seeking a highly motivated and diverse group of Interns for our Summer 2025 internship program. Summer interns provide assistance to the Land Management, Land Administration, Title, and Engineering departments while gaining valuable experience and insight regarding the inner workings in the upstream, midstream, utilities and/or renewable industries. This is a paid full-time position. Anticipated duration will be from June through August 2025 (flexible). This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation for the right individual(s). The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders. Some interns MAY spend two to three weeks in the field working with our project managers in one of Percheron’s various leasing or pipeline right-of-way projects.

Job Responsibilities

Land Management/Title/Land Administration

  • Assist the documents department with various document support functions.
  • Assist land agents with ownership research.
  • Assist field land agents with title research at the county courthouse
  • Assist field land agents with negotiating surface access and road/pipeline rights-of-way
  • Assist GIS Tech with mapping projects
  • Adheres to the company's values - integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment, and innovation.
  • Supports company vision and mission.
  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Engineering

  • Support various project tasks including scope definition, front end loading, design, and asbuilts.
  • Perform data entry, data management, data evaluation, and data presentation.
  • Support the preparation of drawings, reports, plans and specifications for clients.
  • May work on field assignments as available.
  • Will be supported by leaders, mentors, and teammates.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).
  • Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be in your final two years of obtaining your degree.
  • Preferred minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Previous experience with an oil and gas company land department or experience with an independent landman is preferred but not required.
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, detail orientated person
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow
  • Land Management: Progressively working towards a Bachelor of Business Administration in Energy Land Management, Energy Commerce, Petroleum Land Management, or equivalent degree from an A.A.P.L. accredited program.
  • Land Administration: Progressively working towards a Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in General Studies, History, English, Political Science or other related degree. 
  • Title: Progressively working towards a Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in History, English, Political Science, or other related degree. 
  • Engineering: Progressively working towards a Bachelor of Electrical, Mechanical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering.
