JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Technical Professional is responsible for the engineering and technical deliverables and activies on ongoing projects.  Responsible for independently applying advanced techniques and analysis within the discipline/project.

•Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned scope of work.
•Formulating discipline specific parameters and assigning responsibilities to the correct subordinates and monitoring progress.
•Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and relaying the information to the team.
•Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and reporting on the status of deliverables and activities.
•Cooperating, collaborating and communicating with the Project Manager and other project participants to create more efficient project methods.
•Reviewing specific tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
•Developing specifications as required for the project.
•Ensuring compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
•Other duties as assigned
 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

•Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
•Professional Engineering license required; Model Law preferred.
•10 or more years field and project planning experience in the following fields: oil and gas, transmission and distribution, or renewables.
•Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software.
•The ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
•Excellent project management and supervision skills.
•Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
•Ability to use ETAP, SKM, or other power system study software.
•Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player.
•Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
•Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily. 
•Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).
•Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures.
