The Senior Technical Professional – Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical deliverables and activies on ongoing projects as it relates to designing equipment (i.e pumps, compressors, etc.), components, or systems. Responsible for independently applying advanced techniques and analysis within the discipline/project.
- Independently prepare intermediate to advanced level specifications for project assignments detailing client performance requirements, specific component needs, design requirements, applicable design codes, and vendor drawing requirements.
- Prepares Mechanical Equipment Specifications, Data Sheets, Purchase Requisitions and Bid evaluations for pumps, compressors, tanks/vessels, valves and other mechanical equipment / materials as required.
- Conducts technical evaluation, vendor data reviews, evaluate equipment / material suitability and issue clarification of supplier bids - complete technical report to support order placement
- Research and compile project related data as required by the project managers.
- Quality review production drawings for a variety of projects and project related data as required by the project managers to verify corrections are made within multiple CAD related software.
- Compiles information for client presentations, shop drawing review and contract administration.
- Working knowledge of piping, pressure vessel and equipment codes (ASME, API, etc.) preferred.
- Perform field inspections, measurements or calculations for public and private clients.
- Responisble for QA/QC process adherence.
- Responsible for effective communication with other engineering disciplines.
- Developing specifications as required for the project.
- Ensuring compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree
- Professional Engineering license, NCEES P.E. License is preferred
- 7 or more years field and project planning experience.
- Strong knowledge in standard engineering tehniques and procedure related to energy transmission and distribution and midstream pipeline transmission.
- Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software.
- The ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
- Excellent project management and supervision skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
- Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player.

- Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).
