Percheron Hires Wendy Whitfill-Embry as Vice President, Regulated Projects
HOUSTON, TX – March 23, 2026 – Percheron, LLC announces the hiring of Wendy Whitfill‑Embry as Vice President of Regulated Projects. Wendy brings more than 18 years of experience in the energy industry, including over 16 years in leadership roles supporting large‑scale and complex infrastructure projects across the United States.
“Wendy’s deep regulatory expertise, combined with her extensive operational leadership within the pipeline sector, makes her an exceptional addition to our leadership team,” said Trent Oglesby, CEO of Percheron, LLC. “Her background supporting one of the country’s largest natural gas transmission systems and her passion for developing strong, collaborative teams will be invaluable to our clients and our growth.”
Prior to joining Percheron, Wendy worked for Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, including more than a decade at a century old energy company responsible for gathering, processing, storing, and transporting roughly one‑third of the natural gas consumed in the United States. The organization operates more than 33,000 miles of pipeline and serves over 800 customers nationwide.
In her most recent role as Director of Land and Real Estate, Wendy led enterprise-wide land and real estate functions supporting operations, tactical projects, offshore initiatives, power innovation efforts, and regulated and non‑regulated expansion projects. Her portfolio includes supporting the largest‑volume interstate transmission pipeline system in the U.S., a network spanning more than 10,000 miles from South Texas to New York City. Her teams supported both regulated and non-regulated projects across all phases, including feasibility, development, acquisition, construction, restoration, and operations.
Throughout her career, Wendy has led teams of all sizes, including more than 180 employees and contractors, while driving key initiatives in continuous improvement, digital transformation, budgeting, rental and renewal programs, and enterprise reporting. She has overseen real estate operations for more than 1,700 fee owned properties and a telecom program supporting over 450 towers. Her leadership has also been instrumental in numerous acquisitions and divestitures, ensuring seamless transitions and optimized asset performance.
Beyond her operational experience, Wendy has contributed to multiple enterprise committees focused on contingent workforce strategy, sustainability reporting, Indigenous peoples’ relations, employee and leadership development, and organizational culture.
Wendy is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and holds multiple leadership and training certifications. She is an active member of the International Right of Way Association (IRWA), where she also serves on the Pipeline Committee, and the Women’s Energy Network (WEN), supporting mentorship and professional development initiatives across both organizations.
